Garden

This is the first year we have had a great garden overall.  Our tomato plants are 6 and a half feet tall, we have cucumbers coming in by the buckets, tons of jalapenos, and our watermelon plants are huge. 

I can't wait for the tomatoes to start rippening.  If you know me you know I love a tomato sandwich with mayo.  I could live off them. 

 We have been able to enjoy going home a lot this summer.  I love being able to see Jake and the girls often and not miss out on their life. 

Anna and Kara are on the swim team again this year.

Leah is growing up so fast and can now swim all over the pool without any help.

1 year anniversary

May 21st marked the one year anniversary of Dad's death.  I can't believe it has been a year already.  It seems just like yesterday I received that horrible phone call in the middle of the night that changed my life and many others forever.  There is nothing in this world that can prepare you for dealing with the death of someone you love.  It has only been because of God, my loving husband, family, and my best friend that I have gotten through this year sane. 

Heath had Dad's bike fixed so he could ride it in honor of him.  The bike looks nothing like it did when Dad had it.  It was pretty nerve racking to know he was riding the very thing that killed him on the day he was killed.  Everyone deals with things differently.

We started construction on our master bathroom upstairs.  It's the last big project of our remodel.  Just a few weeks and we will be able to use all four bathrooms.  Right now we only have two that are we can use.
