Happy Birthday

We got back to NC just in time for my birthday party at mom and John's. Jessica and I had joint parties this year..I guess we are getting older and can no longer do it seperate. It was a lot of fun.

Monday night, Connie fixed a wonderful dinner for my birthday. We had a great meal and wonderful conversation.

Road Trip

On Friday night, at 8pm we decided to head to Washington DC. We were actually heading to NY but decided not to go b/c we had to be back on Saturday by a certain time. So....we arrived in DC around 1:30am. We found a hotel and went right to sleep. We got up the next morning and went into DC to see a few sights and then got something to eat. We headed back a little after lunch. It was a fun trip.

Happy Thanksgiving #3

For dinner, we ate at mom's. We got to meet Jessica's new boyfriend and enjoyed good food. It was a long day but we enjoyed every minute of it.

For lunch on Thursday we went to Dunn. Josh and I enjoyed ourselves....maybe too much!!! Uncle Jim out did himself this year!!! We were glad to see everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving #1

Wednesday night, we ate with dad at our house. We enjoyed "holiday food" I will admit is not my gift in preparing. I have never cooked holiday food so it was an adventure. Normally, we don't eat traditional food with dad but Heath wanted it. Hopefully, we will go back to the non-traditional meal next year.

It's that time of year again

Today, we took our christmas card picture. No worries...it is not one posted. Here are a few we took behind our house.

Macy...

We had a hard time taking pictures with Macy. She was not very cooperative. I don't remember her being like that last year when we took pictures. In the middle of a picure she would take off running down the railroad tracks and then over to the high grass. It was a challenge to take pictures with her this year. We ended up letting her run for a while and then she sat still.

The Itsy Bitsy Spider

Saturday, we had a visit from the "black widow" I was pulling weeds and putting out pinestraw and felt a sudden sharp pain on my finger. To my surprise there was this nasty creature looking back at me. Josh came to the front of the house and killed it. We then realized it was a black widow. My little pinky finger was starting to swell and turn red. Praise God the only symptoms I experienced were some mild pain, numbness, and tingling. My little finger is almost back to normal. I am so thankful for God's protection. Lessoned learned....wear gloves when working in the yard.

Pictures of the Boat

Here are a few pictures we took of the boat we were on for a week. This boat is currently the largest cruise ship in the world. We were the 22nd voyage. It was extremely nice. We didn't get pictures of the ice skating rink, the many bars, casino, or the work out room. The work out room was amazing. It overlooked the water. It was a little challenging to work out with the boat rocking. Josh and I both felt like our balance was off for three days after we got home. Entrance to the mall on the boat

Day 1

Last Friday, Josh and I drove to Miami to board the Liberty of the Seas. We arrived at our port on Saturday. We enjoyed the drive because we had time alone with each other and we were so excited about our cruise. We had a wonderful time on our vacation. This was our third cruise and will not be the last. We are lifetime cruisers!!!! We highly recommend going on a cruise if you have not gone. They serve and pamper you. We took hundreds of pictures. It was hard to pick out the ones to post. Miami port. It was a cloudy day

Josh was ready for any emergency as long as food was involved. He almost put Royal Caribbean out of business last week.

Day 2

On Sunday, we enjoyed a day at sea. On this particular day they had a belly flop contest and a sexy legs contest. They both were extremely funny to watch.
